The European Handball Association (EHF) confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that it will hold the fourth final of the Men's Champions League in Cologne, which has been postponed until December, including Telekom Veszprém.
The continental organization sees the four-team battle as one of the most important parts of the "Back to Handball" campaign, which is why it is committed to hosting it. The organization of men’s clubs, as well as the marketing company EHF, agreed with the intention at their meeting last Friday.
The Lanxess Arena in Cologne has been hosting the club's elite since 2010, and in December - as the closing of the 2019/20 season - in addition to the people of Veszprém, the German THW Kiel, the Spanish Barcelona and the French Paris Saint-Germain will take part in the tournament.
The exact details, such as the conditions for the possible presence of spectators, will take place in the coming weeks. Interest is indicated by the fact that only three percent of tickets purchased in advance were redeemed. However, those who are already admitted will have to re-apply for the pre-booking phase, as the price of previously redeemed tickets will be refunded and, depending on the number of spectators allowed, resold later.
