The Hungarian Grand Prix will take place on July 19

The Formula One World Championship field will compete at the Hungaroring on July 19, according to Liberty Media's Tuesday announcement, which includes the first eight race weekends of the season, which will start in July due to the coronavirus epidemic.

According to the calendar also adopted by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), in the first two weekends of July, two races will be held at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, and then the teams will travel to Hungary.

Two weeks after the race in Mogyoród, Britain follows, with the field also competing in Silverstone for two consecutive weekends, which will then visit Spain, Belgium and Italy until early September.

The statement stressed that over the past two months, Formula One management has worked with the FIA, 10 teams, and partners and national competent authorities to adopt a revised calendar that will allow races to be held safely. They added that due to the international presence and spread of the coronavirus epidemic, further details as well as the rest of the calendar could be worked out in the coming weeks and Liberty Media hopes there will be 15-18 races this season, ending in December.

They highlighted they are preparing for closed goalkeeper events for the time being, but are confident that spectators will be able to return to the tracks as soon as it proves safe.

August 7-9: 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, Silverstone

August 14-16: Spanish Grand Prix, Barcelona

August 28-30: Belgian Grand Prix, Spa-Francorchamps

September 4-6: Italian Grand Prix, Monza
