The duo of the Shell Helix Ultra team unveiled their 2021 race car at an online press conference on Tuesday, which will continue to be the Next Auto Polo GTI R5. The painting of the racing car was somewhat transformed, but the dominant colors, the white-yellow-black design, remained. The car will be prepared by Korda Racing this year, as it was last year.

“Every year, we’re standing there starting to want to be champions, and that’s no different now,” said Turán, who finished second in the overall standings last year with a one-point disadvantage while becoming champion in the RC2 category.

"In addition to the fact that there will be foreign star riders in our Hungarian championship this year among our opponents, I see that there are several young rivals to be taken seriously this year," added the competitor, who said this was a "serious technical and mental expectations "of their partner as well.

"The coronavirus infection has caught up with us, but fortunately we are both over it, we have escaped without any serious symptoms, and now we can get to the start completely healthy," said László Bagaméri, who added that by the middle of the year there will be less restrictions. in the country, and the fans will also be there on the sidelines.

Frigyes Turán said that they are physically waiting for the start of the season in top form, and they would like to use the experience gained in recent years.

"The participation of big foreign names is definitely good in the Hungarian championship, I feel that they come here because they see that the tracks and competitions are good and it is worth starting here," he said.

Concerning last season, Turán said they did everything they could to win the absolute championship title, but were disappointed at the end of the year. He added that they finally decided in January not to deal with the previous year anymore, but to focus on this season.

The national rally championship is scheduled to run Monday this year and will begin next weekend with the Boldogkő Rally in and around Boldogkőváralja.
