Monaco Grand Prix - Pérez won the three-hour race

Sergio Pérez, Red Bull's Mexican driver, won Sunday's Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix.

The 32-year-old driver won his first race this year and the third of his career. He was last on top of the podium at last year's Azeri Grand Prix.

Behind him, Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. finished in second place, and the third place was taken by Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who remains the leader in the overall points race.

The race started with a 65-minute delay due to the heavy rain, then it was interrupted for 20 minutes after Mick Schumacher's accident, so the drivers could not complete the 77 laps that had been announced, but were waved off at the end of the third hour.

The World Championship continues in two weeks with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.
