To reassure Red Bull fans, their young Dutch favorite: Max Verstappen has signed a contract extension until the end of the 2023 season.
The 22-year-old pilot, considered by many to be the most exciting and also one of the fastest racers in the field, reported Tuesday that the team ended the speculation that Verstappen would be pursuing a career at either Mercedes or Ferrari this season.
In 2016, the Dutch racer contracted a team from Toro Rosso to Red Bull, and that year, at the age of 18 and 228 days, became the youngest race winner in Formula One history.
In the 2019 season, Verstapp's third World Championship has entered 102 races since his debut in 2015 and has won eight Grand Prix so far with Red Bull.
