Formula 1 - There will be no French Grand Prix next year

According to the organizers' announcement on Thursday, next year there will be no French Grand Prix on the Formula 1 World Speedway Championship race calendar, but the race may return to the program later.

The contract for the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet expired after this weekend and the agreement was not renewed. In the last four years, the F1 race was held here, but previously other French tracks also hosted the competition.

The organizers announced on Thursday, at the venue of this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix, that France could return to F1 in the coming years, "especially with the location changing every year".

The future of the Belgian and Monaco races is also in question, neither of them has a contract for 2023, and it is conceivable that they will also alternately organize a Formula 1 race.

At the same time, it is possible that Qatar, Los Angeles, as well as China and the Republic of South Africa will be included in the competition calendar.
