At the age of 98, he became a record holder and continues to do so

Car and motorsport is not life insurance. Those who run it take the risk, but not only the competition, but also the training can be dangerous.

The New Zealand motorcycle racer, who despite his age does not give up active racing, does not care about this.

Leslie Harris has left her fearless youth well behind. Regardless, the 98-year-old man strives to get an adrenaline rush, and he gets it by racing.

It is certain that he entered history by entering the Guinness Book of Records. He achieved this by starting to race just a month before his 98th birthday. Moreover, his eldest son entered the competition with him, and even his 21-year-old grandson.

It is a commendable achievement, considering the man's age and the fact that he underwent major surgery at the age of 93. He received a hip prosthesis, from which he recovered, but he broke 6 ribs in one competition and even Covid interfered with his competitions.

It is a particularly great achievement after so many absences. Although he did not win the race, because he finished in fourth place, perhaps the country and the world will recognize that he is still the real winner in some way.

The old man has been participating in competitions at various levels since 1953, but he wants to keep up this habit as long as he can swing his legs.
