On Saturday, the British Simon Yates won the Budapest time trial, the second stage of the Giro d'Italia road cycling circuit, in which Dutch Mathieu van der Poel, who triumphed on the opening stage in Visegrád, kept his leading position.
Out of the three Hungarians, Erik Fetter, who clocked the 45th time, completed the 9.2 kilometer distance the fastest.
The last Hungarian stage follows on Sunday: the 201 kilometers between Kaposvár and Balatonfüred will be covered by the participants of the 105th Giro d'Italia, who will continue the 3,445.6 kilometer race in Sicily after the Monday holiday, ending on May 29.
