Usain Bolt caught the coronavirus

Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic champion athlete, became infected with the coronavirus.

The 34-year-old former sprinter recently celebrated his birthday, according to videos released, without wearing a mask and maintaining a safe protective distance. Several celebrities at the party, including Manchester City UK national team footballer Raheem Sterling, were there, a Jamaican radio station reported.

Bolt reportedly learned on Sunday that his test result was positive and immediately went into voluntary quarantine. The world leader in the 100- and 200-meter flat races on Monday confirmed the fact of his illness on the community side and said he was asymptomatic.

Bolt’s surprise birthday was on Friday, with participants singing and dancing together, with the sprinter subsequently calling the event his best birthday ever on his Instagram page.

In Jamaica, 1,413 cases have been diagnosed so far and 16 have died from complications of the disease.
