Tour de Hongrie - As the fourth WT team, Jumbo-Visma also starts

As the fourth World Tour team, Dutch Jumbo-Visma's participation in this year's Tour de Hongrie has been confirmed.

According to Friday's organizers of road cycling rounds, Slovenian Primoz Roglic, the biggest star in the current Jumbo-Visma frame, won the Vuelta in 2019 and finished third in the Giron, is focusing on the Tour de France this year and will definitely not participate. at the Hungarian fight. The list of the team will only be formed during the spring races, but it is almost certain to start with Dutch Taco van der Hoorn and one of the most hopeful Norwegian Tobias Foss.

The five-day Hungarian Tournament between May 13th and 17th will see a stronger field than ever before, as the Tour de Hongrie starts two days after the first three stages of the Giro d'Italia are held in Hungary between May 9 and 11.

So the Tour de Hongrie is sure to start with ten teams. Prior to Jumbo-Visma, World Tour stables announced the participation of Astana, Trek-Segafredo and Mitchelton-SCOTT.

Among the pro-continental teams will be Novo Nordisk, an American who includes Peter Kustor, Androni Giocattoli-Sidermeca, Riwal Readynez of Denmark, Gazprom-RusVelo of Russia and Team Novak of Szekler. On the 41st Tour de Hongrie, Alberto Contador's continental team Kometa-Xstra, which has two Hungarian cyclists: last year's combined runner-up, Márton Dina and Erik Fetter, will also start.

The organizers set themselves the goal of the Hungarian Race to be included in the Pro Series in 2021. One of the prerequisites for this is that at least 14 World Tour or Procontinental-rated bands must participate in this year's Tour de Hongrie. The International Federation (UCI) Schedule 2.1 event is scheduled to feature 140 teams from 20 teams.
