Hungarian athletes, medals and winners of the Tokyo Olympics were greeted at the BOK Hall in Budapest on Monday.
At the ceremony in front of hundreds of fans, Krisztián Kulcsár, Chairman of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, highlighted:
"The Hungarian Olympians are now welcomed as much as they sought in Tokyo to bring joy to all the people of the country. It was good to be Hungarian in Tokyo! Thanks to the athletes, their coaches, the divisions, the clubs, the family members, the fans and the Hungarian government, "he added.
Films about the medals and winners were screened and then greeted on stage.
The Hungarians won six gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals at the Tokyo Olympics, which ended on Sunday. The last group of the delegation arrived home on Monday, they were transported by four buses from Liszt Ferenc Airport to the BOK hall ceremony.
