21-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic's name is not on the entry list for the US Open, which starts next Monday, so the Serbian star will miss the US Open.
Djokovic is not vaccinated against the coronavirus, and foreigners are not allowed to enter the United States without one. This was confirmed on Thursday by the current sixth place in the world ranking.
For a similar reason, he could not participate in the first GS competition of the season, in Australia, and he could not travel to the top competitions in Miami and Indian Wells in the spring, and Montreal and Cincinnati in recent weeks.
Among the other two GS tournaments of the season, Djokovic lost in the quarter-finals at Roland Garros against eventual winner Rafael Nadal, but he did not find a winner at Wimbledon.
