The world number one and defending champion Novak Djokovic reached the quarterfinals in the men's singles competition of the French Open with an easy victory.

The Serbian classic proved to be better than the 15th seeded Argentinian Diego Schwartzman in the round of 16 on Sunday in 2 hours and 17 minutes. Djokovic lost his only service game in the meeting, so Schwartzman trailed 3:0 in the second set, but the Serbian turned the game around with six games in the series. Djokovic ended the match with six breaks.

The Serbian will meet the winner of the Rafael Nadal (Spain, 5th) - Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canadian, 9th) duel in the quarterfinals.
