The president of the Israeli Olympic Committee held a general assembly and expressed his concern for the Israeli athletes. The elite athletes can hide in a protected place, but the knowledge that they are 10 months away from the Olympics and everyone is fighting for points participating in the Olympic Games makes their already troubled lives more difficult.
Due to the war situation, the competitors are not allowed to participate in foreign competitions, but now security is the key and not the Olympics. Israelis are not safe anywhere in the world. Despite this, the head of the Israeli Olympic Committee is confident that the 90 athletes will still be able to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
