Here's the end, the doping Chinese swimmer has been banned!

The International Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) found Sun Yang, a three-time Olympic champion swimmer who has committed an anti-doping rule offense, and banned the Chinese athlete for eight years. The decision means the end of his career.

The 28-year-old athlete wanted to be screened in September 2018, but instructed his assistants to smash the vials containing his blood samples, which they did.

The international federation of water sports, FINA, avoided banning because inspectors allegedly failed to prove themselves properly. However, the International Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has turned to CAS, which has now fined the swimmer.

One of China's top athletes was heard by CAS for a public hearing in November for ten hours: at the meeting, the Chinese star first presented evidence and testimony, but had already indicated, after his first question, through lawyers, that translation was inadequate. After one question, for example, lawyer Ian Meakin said that "200 milliliters of blood" was translated into Sun instead of "200 times" in the original proposal.

In his testimony of the triple five-ring and 11-time World Championship gold medalist, he said again that the inspectors had failed to prove themselves properly and also indicated that they were filming at home.

However, according to CAS, the destruction of the samples was unjustified.

Sun had a three-month ban on another case in 2014, which is why he has received such severe punishment now.

The athlete indicated shortly after the verdict was pronounced that he felt the punishment was unfair and continued to believe in his innocence and would appeal. Sunni and his legal team have only one chance to challenge the verdict in the Swiss Supreme Court.

After FINA's acquittal, Sun was eligible to appear at the World Championships in Changzhou last July, which was one of the most divisive personalities of what happened. In the swimming pool, non-Chinese audiences were constantly whistling, with rivals Mack Horton of Australia and Duncan Scott of Britain opposing his performance without standing on the podium at the 200 and 400 meters winner.

Sun burst at the 2008 Beijing Olympics at the age of 16, becoming eighth in the 1500 meters fast in front of a domestic audience, and has already won a gold medal at the World Championships in Shanghai in 2011. A year later, in London's five-ring game, he triumphed over that record by over three seconds, although he jumped out at the start, but was not ruled out on the grounds that it was disturbed by audience noise. He did not win in the British capital at 400 meters - he beat the second South Korean Pak Te Hvan in nearly two seconds - and finished second at 200 meters, four years later in Rio de Janeiro.

Following the success of the latter, French swimmer Camille Lacourt said:

"Sun Yang purple peeing. When I look at the podium, I feel sick."
