Fucsovics defeats world champion Dimitrov in eighth final - video!

Márton Fucsovics beat Grigor Dimitrov in a marathon battle and made it an eighth final at the tennis tournament in New York.

By defeating Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, Márton Fucsovics made it into the top 16 in the men's tournament for the hard court tennis relocated from Cincinnati to New York.

According to the Hungarian Tennis Association, the 84th Hungarian player in the world rankings lost his double break advantage (5-2) in the first game, but after 5-5 he took his rival's serve again and then retained his own advantage. In the second set, Dimitrov won 19th in the first three games, but Fucsovics turned four by sweeping in a row, but the game still became Bulgarian.

In the all-deciding set, he had to wait until the fifth boom for the first break, which was associated with Fucsovics, then doubled it, and from there he did not let the victory out of his hands.

Fucsovics - who ranks 66th in the world rankings - will face Filip Krajinovich, who said goodbye to Dominic Thiem in a surprise in the eighth final.
