Duplantis jumped out of the world again

Sweden's Armand Duplantis won the pole vault with a world record of 6.20 meters on Sunday's competition day of the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade.

The 22-year-old Olympic champion improved his own record, also set in the Serbian capital on March 7, by one centimeter.

American Grant Holloway won the men's 60m hurdles by setting his own world record in the semi-finals. The 24-year-old sprinter won his race with 7.39 seconds, equaling the record set in Madrid last February. In the finale, he was a tenth slower than this, but his rivals were still unable to squeeze him.

In the men's 1,500 meters, Samuel Tefera of Ethiopia defended his title with a world championship record, beating world record holder Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway.

In the women's 800 meters, the American Ajee Wilson triumphed with a fantastic last lap, so after her silver medals in 2016 and 2018, she could now stand on the top step of the podium.
