Djokovic did not return to the ATP players board

Contrary to his recent plans, world-leading Novak Djokovic has yet to return to the ATP’s board of directors, which organizes men’s tennis tournaments.

Djokovic, the former chairman of the ATP players ’council, announced on August 28 that he was stepping down as he formed a new, independent players’ union. The new advocacy was called the Professional Tennis Association (PTPA), but the biggest stars, such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, or just Andy Murray, remained at the ATP and called on Djokovic to preserve the unit.

The Serbian player announced on 19 November that he could return to the players' council because he said it was not a problem for someone to be a member of both ATP and PTPA, but the former still did not allow it.

Federer, Nadal and Murray will continue to serve on the ATP Gaming Council, whose chairman will soon be elected by the members.
