Alpine skiing - Kristoffersen's success in downhill skiing

Henrik Kristoffersen won the men’s Saturday downhill race in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Alpine Ski World Cup.

The first race was closed second by Norwegian skier, but Tanguy Nef of Switzerland was the last to make the second slip. With his success, Kristoffersen approached his compatriot Lucas Braathen, who is at the forefront of the specialty, at one point.

Loic Meillard from Switzerland was second and Manuel Feller from Austria was third.

Barnabas Szöllős, who competes in Israeli colors, finished 47th out of 48 skiers who successfully completed the course, so he was not included in the second race.

The vk series will also continue on Sunday in downhill skiing in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

1. Henrik Kristoffersen (Norwegian) 1: 46.14 minutes (Race 1: 53.53 seconds / Race 2: 52.61 seconds)

2. Loic Meillard (Switzerland) 1: 46.28 (53.54 / 52.74)

3. Manuel Feller (Austria) 1: 46.65 (53.95 / 52.70)

The position of the winners in the field after 7 competitions (3 more left): 1. Lucas Braathen (Norwegian) 257 points, 2. Kristoffersen 256, 3. Meillard 247

The standings of the composite after 26 races (11 left): 1. Marco Odermatt (Switzerland) 1200 points, 2. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (Norway) 825, 3. Matthias Mayer (Austria) 692
