Alpesisí vk - Shiffrin is four wins away from the top setting

Mikaela Shiffrin won the giant slalom competition of the women's alpine skiers' World Cup series in Semmering, achieving the 78th championship success of her career.

The two-time Olympic and six-time world champion American athlete - who is now only four firsts away from compatriot Lindsey Vonn, who holds the women's record - established her victory in the first race, as she was almost one second faster than her biggest rivals, and in the end she was overtaken by the second Slovakian by 13 hundredths of a second Petra Vlhova.

Italian Marta Bassino, the leader in the category points competition, finished in third place.
