Ukraine will be the opponent of Wales in the final of the World Cup qualifiers after the former won 3-1 as a guest of Scotland on Wednesday.
The Ukrainians, who were in control throughout the match in Glasgow, took the lead in the 33rd minute with Andriy Yarmolenko's goal, then doubled their advantage immediately after the break: Roman Yaremchuk scored in the 49th minute. The final result was set by Artyem Dovbjuk in the final game. In the 78th minute, Ferencváros winger Oleksandr Zubkov entered the field as a substitute for the visiting team.
The clash was originally scheduled for March, but was postponed due to the war situation in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Wales bid farewell to Austria and waited more than two months for their last qualifying opponent.
