Tuchel became Lampard's successor at Chelsea

According to previous press reports, Thomas Tuchel has been appointed head coach of the Chelsea football team.

Club legend Frank Lampard was fired from the London band on Monday, and the German coach was announced on Tuesday. The new specialist has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal and will sit on the bench as early as Wednesday in a league match against the Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tuchel, 47, previously ran Mainz and Borussia Dortmund in his home country, then for two and a half years, until the end of December last year, he coached Paris Saint-Germain, leading the French team to the Champions League final in August. In Paris, Zsolt Löw helped his work as a second coach, and the Hungarian specialist previously stated that he would most likely stay with the German coach in the continuation.

Lampard, who has been in charge of Chelsea since the summer of 2019, was sent off after losing five of the Guard’s last eight league matches, slipping back to ninth place on the table. The Blues scored 29 points in 19 games and are 11 ahead of list leader Manchester United, with Wolverhampton betting on Wednesday in the 20th round on Wednesday.
