This is the answer Lewandowski gave to the question of his retirement

Robert Lewandowski, who was voted Best Footballer of the Year last year, has no plans to end his career yet.

Speaking to Sport Bild, the 32-year-old Polish striker from Bayern Munich said he knew a lot of people were looking at his age.

"But honestly, I feel better now than I do at 26-27. I'm a better player today than I was six years ago," the striker said.

Whether he could maintain that standard for three, four, or perhaps even five years, Lewandowski replied that it was difficult to predict.

“But I’m definitely planning for more years and I want to keep that level,” he added.

The footballer said he did not think of being in a league rated lower than the Bundesliga, such as China or the United States, towards the end of his career.

"I can imagine finishing my career at the highest level, at Bayern. But it's too early to talk about that," Lewandowski said.

He revealed that he feels very good at the Bavarian club, has a great relationship with his teammates and enjoys the mentality prevailing at the association, namely that "always on, always more, always hungry for success".

"If something works so well, one doesn't want to switch," stressed Robert Lewandowski, who will start the World Cup qualifiers against the Hungarians in Budapest next Thursday as a member of the Polish national team.
