The authorities are investigating large-scale corruption and fur coat in Belgian football clubs - the Federal Prosecutor's Office in Brussels announced on Wednesday.
In this case, 57 police actions were carried out: 44 in Belgium and 13 in Cyprus, France, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
According to the information, more than one year of investigation, there were signs of "suspicious financial transactions" and "possible manipulation of matches".
The RTBF Belgian Public Service Channel reported that one of the most influential football agents in the country had been questioned, as did several colleagues at RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge. The police, among other things, stepped out of the Standard Liege and KRC Genk teams.
