As a member of the Spanish Olympic team, Sergio Ramos wants to take part in the Tokyo Five-Ring Games.
Real Madrid and the Spanish national team captain said in a statement after being added to the generous Olympic team. The 34-year-old defender said earlier in March that he would love to play in Tokyo and would be happy to win an Olympic gold medal after winning World and European Championship titles with the national team.
Real France's head coach, former class player Zinadine Zidane, stood next to Ramos on Friday, saying "if Sergio wants to go to the Olympics, I will support him."
Although Olympic teams start with teams under the age of 23, the rules allow for the entry of older players.
