Serhiy Rebrov, head coach of the Ferencváros football team, was a little disappointed with the last two goals scored in the FC Barcelona 5-1 Champions League group match.
The Ukrainian expert asked MTI about it at a press conference at the Camp Nou after the meeting, at the beginning of the meeting the Hungarian team played well, which created situations and could have even scored a goal. However, after Barcelona’s leading goal, they gave in to their rival more than they should have.
The coach remarked that they tried to defend themselves in an organized way, but the Catalans managed to crack it and mostly overtook them after ball losses.
He added they have five matches left in the group stage, "it's a long way". Rebrov noted that after the show they tried to put pressure on their opponent, but Barcelona have classics who can solve the duel one by one in such a situation.
Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman said they played a good match, although it was a bit difficult to pick up the rhythm of the match and let Ferencváros play at the start of the meeting. He noted that this happens when "they give in to the aggression" and the pressure that characterizes Barcelona's game. The Dutch coach added, he had already seen a really good football team in the second half, which also proved to be at a human disadvantage.
Dávid Sigér, the national team midfielder of Ferencváros, spoke about the fact that Barcelona had a noticeable change of rhythm in the second half and it was extremely difficult to get the ball. He added that it was an uplifting, honorable and inspiring feeling to play against such a team in this stadium.
