Real United certifies defender Manchester United, star arrives for 'red devils'

Manchester United's football team will pay Real Madrid £ 34 million for the world champion French team Rafael Varane, the British Sky Sports reported, and the clubs officially announced the deal on Tuesday night.

The financial details of the transfer have not been made public by either party, but media reports suggest the purchase of the 28-year-old defender could rise to £ 41 million if certain conditions are met. The usual medical examinations at that time are still to come, and Manchester United has not even agreed with the player himself.

Varane moved from Lens to Real Madrid in 2011, with whom he had a live deal for another year. He has been a four-time winner of the Champions League in the past decade, winning the Spanish Championship three times as well as the Spanish Super Cup. He played 31 matches in the last league season and scored two goals.

Three weeks ago, AS in Madrid reported that Real had allegedly made a four-year offer to Varane with a seasonal remuneration of € 7 million (HUF 2.53 billion), while MU could earn € 12 million a year.

Last week, the English national team Jadon Sancho joined MU - for € 85 million - and the team will start in the Premier League on 14 August against Leeds United.
