National team - Unlucky defeat by the Serbs

Befitting a friendly match, both teams started cautiously, but after the "getting to know each other" minutes, they attacked more and more bravely. Both sides had a chance, Szalai's header was bravely saved by the Serbian goalkeeper, while Kostic did score in the Hungarian goal, but in the former case it was offside, in the latter case the free kick went wide due to an irregularity. The organization of the two national teams was also shown by the fact that the defenders regularly ambushed the attackers, so the fans were only excited by the opportunities until the referee blew the whistle on the situation. The Hungarians were equal partners in the field with their World Cup-participating rivals, but due to a mistake by Zsolt Nagy at the back, the guests were still able to enter the dressing room with an advantage: after a Serbian corner on the left, Mitrovic, running up the other side, took the ball, then shot with great force towards the short upper corner, but Gulácsi made a brilliant save - with the help of the crossbar - but Zsolt Nagy was so unlucky to get at the rebound that he rolled the ball into his own goal, which Fiola cut out just beyond the goal line (0-1).

The picture of the game did not change in the second half either: Marco Rossi's team was a worthy opponent of the better Serbian team, he was able to lead particularly dangerous actions, but there were mistakes in the finishing, for example, Sallai did not hit the goal twice in a clear shooting position from 16 meters. With the passage of time and the numerous substitutions, the momentum and the standard also dropped, the Serbians certainly kept their minimal advantage, in fact, on one occasion the Hungarian defense almost scored a goal for the guests again, and once, Gulácsi saved a feat from Aleksandar Mitrovic's jump shot. In the first half, the Hungarians tried to put pressure on the Serbians, but the counterattacks after losing the ball were more dangerous, until András Schäfer hit the post in extra time, and Dominik Szoboszlai could not shoot the rebound into the empty goal, thus the one-goal defeat.
