Mbappé only deals with PSG, the World Cup is already in the past

Although he will not be able to get over the failure of the French national football team in the World Cup final against the Argentines for quite some time, Kylian Mbappé is now only concentrating on Paris Saint-Germain.

The 24-year-old attacker spoke about this after leading his team to a 2-1 victory against Strasbourg on Wednesday with the penalty he scored in the 96th minute.

"Personally, I will never fully digest what happened, but my club is not responsible for the failure of the national team, so I tried to come back with positive energy. I would like to add to my team's game and I hope that we can remain undefeated," said the striker, who scored a hat-trick lost in the final against Argentina in a penalty shoot-out.

"The message is simple: it doesn't matter what happened in the national team, PSG is different. I am dedicated to bringing every possible trophy to the capital," declared Mbappé, whose team played with a man disadvantage for nearly half an hour due to Neymar's suspension.

Paris Saint-Germain - which still lacked the new world champion Lionel Messi - is undefeated in Ligue 1 after 16 rounds, with 14 wins and two draws, and is at the top of the table.
