Mbappé celebrated twice, but with a defeat

Kylian Mbappé, the French footballer of Paris Saint-Germain, had a double jubilee on Sunday night, but his team suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Rennes.

The striker, who scored a hat-trick in the final of the Qatar World Cup, came on as a substitute in the 56th minute, according to the league's website, it was the 200th appearance of his career in Ligue 1, his 300th overall in the club colors. The 24-year-old world champion football player made his debut in AS Monaco, played 60 times in the duchy's team, and played another 240 times in the capital's squad. He scored 27 goals in the former and 191 goals in the latter.

Rennes set a club record with their ninth consecutive home win. PSG is still leading the table after its second defeat of the season, but its advantage is only three points over second-place Lens.
