Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams are buying a soccer team!

Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams have also joined a group led by Martin Broughton that has made a bid to buy Premier League and defending Champions League champions Chelsea.

According to estimates, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion British driver and the former female world number one American tennis player would both enter the business with 10 million pounds (4.44 billion forints).

Broughton has several well-known and wealthy people by his side, such as Sebastian Coe, the legendary British Olympic champion athlete, the president of the International Association (WA), and Josh Harris and David Blitzer, among the well-known American investors in the sports world, who are in the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team and they are also co-owners of the New Jersey Devils hockey team.

British businessman Broughton, the Chelsea-backer, acted as the president of Liverpool FC from April 16, 2010, his task was to facilitate the change of ownership at the club that was accumulating debts. He left his post on November 30 after the sale.

Russian businessman Roman Abramovich is forced to leave Chelsea after 19 years. After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Great Britain implemented measures against the club's billionaire owner because, according to reports, he maintains a good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which Abramovich disputes. Several investor groups are interested in the London club, the sale is supervised by the American bank Raine Group.

Four business groups remained in the running to buy Chelsea.
