The Glasgow Rangers won 2-0 on Saturday as a guest of Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Football Championship, setting a 114-year Scottish record.
The BBC recalled that the Rangers had not scored a goal in the first six matches of the league season - a tie once with five wins - the last time 114 years ago, the city’s big rival Celtic was able to keep the record alone in this indicator.
Celtic started the 1906/07 Scottish Championship with six wins, scoring a total of 20 goals and none. Celtic then became the champion with a seven-point advantage.
The Rangers ’Steven Gerrard front-runner - whose current unbeaten is paired with an 11-0 goal difference - will play at home in the Scottish Premiership next September 12, with Dundee United in seventh place in the table. He scored seven points in the last six games, with a goal difference of 4-8.
