Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not exercising his option, so he will leave the AC Milan football team this summer, according to sports daily Gazzetta dello sport.
The Gazzetta also does not rule out the possibility that the Swedish striker will end his career. The 38-year-old star's decision was largely driven by Zvonimir Boban's march in March, as he has a close friendship with the club's former manager, and another former world-class, Paolo Maldini, is reportedly resigning as director in the summer.
Ibrahimovic, who is currently in Sweden, returned to AC Milan in January after his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy expired. He has scored four goals in ten matches in red-black colors since then.
