Frank de Boer from the Netherlands became the head coach of Atlanta United, the champion of the North American Professional Football League (MLS).
Founded in 2014, the club first participated in the MLS struggles in 2017 and won a gold medal in its second season. The team's head coach was Gerardo Martino of Argentina, who had previously headed FC Barcelona, and then was a federal captain of his country's national team.
President Darren Eales said on the club's website Sunday, the 48-year-old De Boer has already proven himself in the development of young players as well as speaks Spanish and English.
