BL - Manchester City are happy with one point, Atalanta less

Atalanta, who played a subordinate role in the first half, had a brilliant draw against the visiting Manchester City in the fourth round of the Football Champions League, but the English side were more comfortable after the match.

Before the Milan match, the Bergamo team, which had lost 5-1 to Manchester City two weeks ago, was still without a point. The first half did not seem to change the situation, the away team played a big football, led and then made a mistake. After the break, however, Atalanta equalized and found himself, and in the 81st minute, goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was sent out of the City and defenseman Kyle Walker defended.

The English head coach Josep Guardiola said no in the press conference if he remembered a match that had three goalkeepers on his team.

"Was I afraid? Of course. Ten minutes left, even the worst," he pointed to his forced goalkeeper swap.

However, the Catalan trainer noted with satisfaction that they had responded well to the situation, with only one shot at their gate during this period.

"We played really well in the first half. The Champions League just needs to be more efficient in a few moments. We could have finished the fight soon, but we couldn't win every match this season," he continued.

On the replacement of number one goalkeeper Ederson during the break, he said: "There was a bit of a problem with my foot. I've done a lot of stupid things in my life, but I never replaced the goalkeeper if he was okay."

According to Guardiola, it is positive that they scored four points against Atalanta despite their many injuries.

The "number three goalkeeper" later said he sometimes drew goalkeepers during training to catch the ball first, but, referring to his only defense, added that this evening he realized he sometimes needed two touches.

"Kyle Walker was very good and the team was cohesive. We got into a difficult situation, but Kyle solved it," praised teammate Joao Cancelo.

The home trainer, on the other hand, was not so pleased.

"We could have won in the end. They played with ten people, a field player at goal, the conditions were good, but we had very little opportunity to play," said Gian Piero Gasperini, who had little ball in his stride.

The Italian coach believes they could even get out of the group, but would also welcome a move to the European League as a third place.

"I wish the team could continue this adventure. But we must not blame it any more," he said.

In Group C, Manchester City leads by ten points, followed by Sahtar Donetsk and Dinamo Zagreb, followed by Atalanta.
