Bayern's offended star left the gate open

The 70-fold national team of Mats Hummels, Bayern Munich, said he still had a trip back to the German national team despite the fact that Joachim Löw was surprised to join the Dutch team in the last week's European Championship with two of Munich's co-workers.

"In my head, Mats Hummels, as an assorted player, was not placed in the corner of the wardrobe, where he would never be found again," said the 30-year-old soccer player on Wednesday at Sport Bild.

Löw announced at the beginning of March that he did not count on Hummels, as well as the 76-fold selection of Jerome Boateng and National Melters Thomas Müller 100 times. The trio of Munich was a member of the 2014 World Championship, as well as the national team after the group round last year, to the surprise of the Russian tournament last year.

"Thomas, Jerome and I also felt it would have been a different way of saying this," Hummels recalled that Löw had contacted the three footballers in Munich without notice and informed them of his decision.

The defender said "knocked down" what Löw had told them because "no matter whatsoever" he was out of the national team. He added, and accepted and understood the federal captain's decision.

"Löw did not choose the perfect solution to share his thoughts with us," Hummels emphasized at the same time.

The German national team played 1-1 in the preparation for the Serbs with Wolfsburg last Wednesday, and won 3-2 in Amsterdam on Sunday night as a guest of the Dutch.
