Barcelona is the richest football club

For the first time in its history, Barcelona has become the world's richest football club, according to a study by international consulting firm Deloitte.

The Catalans, the first club to cross the € 800 million mark, closed the 2018-19 season with € 840.8 million in revenue, an increase of € 150 million compared to the previous season. Barcelona has overtaken this ancient rival Real Madrid, which ranks second on the list with a budget of $ 757.3 million.

Manchester United remains third with € 711.5 million and Bayern Munich with fourth place with € 660.1 million.

Champions League winner Liverpool is ahead of only seventh, Paris Saint-Germain (635.9 million) and Manchester City (610.6 million).

Among the 20 richest football clubs, there are two new names: French Olympique Lyon 17th and Italian SSC Napoli 20th. In the top 20, English has a significant advantage: besides eight Premier League teams, the Italian Serie At is represented by four, the German Bundesliga and the Spanish La Liga by 3-3 each, and the French Ligue 1 by two. The top 20 teams recorded a record $ 9.3 billion in revenue in the 2018-19 season, an increase of 11 percent.

There are only four bands in the top thirty that are not in the top five: Championship Ajax Amsterdam (23rd), Benfica (24th), Zenit (28th) and FC Porto (29th). ).
