Bale would return to Real Madrid next season

Gareth Bale, on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, is scheduled to return to Real Madrid’s football team this summer.

The Welsh national team winger said at a press conference ahead of the national team’s World Cup qualifiers that he was certified for his former association because he wanted to play to be in good physical condition for the European Championships postponed to the summer.

“My plan is to return to Madrid after the European Championships for the final year of my contract,” said Bale, who struggled with fitness problems at the start of the season but had occasional opportunities from head coach José Mourinho in recent meetings, thanks to good play and goals.

The 31-year-old Welsh footballer was a Tottenham footballer for the first time between 2007 and 2013, scoring 42 goals in 146 matches for the team in that season. He then qualified for Real, with a world record of € 100.8 million at the time, with a balance of 171 matches and 80 goals from 2013, but head coach Zinédine Zidane had little expectation of him the previous season.
