Niko Kovac, former head coach of Bayern Munich, who is reportedly interested in managing the Arsenal football team, will return to the bench earlier than planned.
Two prestigious football websites report that the 48-year-old coach's management and the club have already been in contact after the professional is "very interested in the task".
Kovac is scheduled to watch Monday's (today) West Ham United-Arsenal championship on site.
Unai Emery was dismissed by the Gunners' leadership on November 29 and has since been temporarily led by Freddie Ljungberg of Sweden. The North London squad has nine wins, and such a bad streak has not been seen in club life since 1992.
After leaving Bayern, Niko Kovac was also considered by Hertha BSC as a potential new head coach, but eventually Jürgen Klinsmann was hired. The Croatian coach allegedly rejected Berlin's interest in wanting to stay away from football for a while.
