The NFL regular season will be one match longer

The regular season of the Professional American Football League (NFL) will be one match longer, with 17 games from this season.

The club owners agreed on Tuesday to change the regular season for the first time since 1978. It was then changed from 14 to 16 matches, while now the battles have been extended by one more match. Part of the change is that from the four meetings so far, the pre-season of each band will be reduced to three matches.

Under the decision, the plus will be a regular season match between conferences, meaning each team will play a rival in a different main group. Pairings will be decided based on the rankings achieved in the previous season, and in each case the band in the American main group will be able to play at home.

Due to the longer regular season, the playoffs will be postponed, so next season’s grand final, the Super Bowl, will take place on February 13, 2022.
