The biggest contract in the history of the sport was signed by the champion manager

The largest contract in the history of the sport was signed by Patrick Mahomes, head of the Kansas City Chiefs, defending champion in the Professional American Football League (NFL).

The 24-year-old, who was voted the league’s most valuable (MVP) in the 2018 season and a year later the best in the Super Bowl, has been extended for another two years with a ten-year contract. The new deal includes an additional $ 477 million, which means Mahomes could earn a total of $ 503 million over the next 12 years.

Taking all sports into account, the record so far was held by baseball player Mike Trout, whose contract is about $ 426.5 million.

Mahomes ’contract is guaranteed to be $ 141 million, with an average salary of $ 45 million, ten million more than second-place Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks).

Currently retiring in January, Eli Manning is the best-earning player in NFL history, enriching his career with $ 252.3 million. With the current agreement, Mahomes will earn $ 137,808 per day, $ 5,742 per hour, $ 96 per minute, and $ 1.60 per second for the next 12 years.

Mahomes was selected by the Chiefs in tenth place in the 2017 draft, with a replacement still in its first season. In his first three seasons of his career, he has played in 31 games, with 76 touchdown passes and 9,412 passing yards. In the 2018 season, he still failed the U.S. Main Group final, but a year later led the guard to a Super Bowl victory, which peaked again after 1970, fifty years later.
