No surprise, the NBA’s biggest star remained with his current team

The Dallas Mavericks basketball team agreed on everything with Slovenian star Luka Doncic, who signed a five-year, $ 207 million contract on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old basketball player will be the first in the North American League (NBA) to sign a new deal offering a so-called supermax pay immediately after his rookie contract.

The European champion with the Slovenian national team and the fourth manager-thrower at the Tokyo Olympics, which ended on Sunday, are currently resting in their home country, and the Mavericks' management has taken over the contract, and a press conference is expected to be held in Slovenia on Tuesday.

The Dallas delegation landed in Ljubljana on Monday night and includes Mark Cuban, owner, club manager Nico Harrison and head coach Jason Kidd, as well as the team’s German legend, Dirk Nowitzki.

Doncic averaged 27.7 points, 8.6 assists and 8 rebounds per match in the previous NBA season, and at the end of the past two seasons he was selected as the first team of the year by NBA experts.

Before the 201-centimeter star moved to Dallas in 2018, he won the Euroleague with Real Madrid - Adam Hanga’s new team - in which he became the best of the season and final. He collected three league titles and two cup gold medals with the Spanish club.
