The Dallas Cowboys continue to be the professional American football league (NFL) and the most valuable sports club in the world.
According to the sports business magazine Sportico, the value of the Texas association increased by 10 percent in one year, so it is currently worth $7.64 billion, which is $630 million more than the New York Yankees baseball club, which is in second place on the overall list.
Sportico's calculations, based on interviews with more than 30 bankers, lawyers, team executives, owners and consultants, as well as public documents related to the sport, show that the value of the 32 NFL teams increased by an average of 18 percent in one year.
The Los Angeles Rams, who won the last Super Bowl, had the biggest increase, the value of the Californian club increased by 26 percent and came in second place with $5.91 billion.
It is interesting that 16 clubs in the NFL, i.e. half of the entire field, are worth at least 4 billion dollars, there are a total of seven such associations in the other American super leagues, four in basketball and three in baseball.
At the bottom of the NFL list is the Cincinnati Bengals, who lost the previous Super Bowl, with $2.84 billion.
