LeBron lost to the James-led Lakers as a host, against Portland, in which Damian Lillard contributed 31 points and Gary Trent Jr. 28 points. TrailBlazers ’victory also required CJ McCollum’s 20-point and 11 assist (goal passes) performance, giving the defending champion a balance of 2 wins and 2 defeats after four matches. LeBron James scored 29 points, nine rebounds and six assistants in the match.
In Denver, host Nuggets beat Houston Rockets 124-111, mainly thanks to Nikola Jokic’s 19 points, 18 assists and 12 rebounds, reaping his first win of the season. Jokic had this in the 42nd triple double in his career, while rival James Harden was the most productive with 34 points.
After more than ten years on October 31, 2010, Utah Jazz managed to win again in Oklahoma as a guest of the Thunder. Led by Donovan Mitchell, Bogan Bogdanovich, and Mike Conley, the team broke off their negative series against the Thunder: the Jazz had previously been down in 17 regular season games against Oklahoma.
The Atlanta Hawks beat the guest Detroit Pistons to 128-120, making it the 3rd 0-0 start for the first time since the 2016/17 season.
